"Mr. Tsarukyan met with Mr. Vanetsyan many times in the same park, and Mr. Vanetsyan did not deny that either". NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan stated this today in response to the journalists' observation that a criminal case was initiated in connection with the PAP leader after his criticism of the Government.
In response to the question whether the government was concerned about Tsarukyan's and Vanetsyan's meeting, Simonyan said that the government was concerned only with issues of communication with RA citizen. "It doesn't matter who where in the park, with whom they will meet, what they will try to do. The most important thing for us is our cooperation with the citizens", Simonyan said.
He reminded that the criminal case related to Tsarukyan's company concerns violations of 30-40 billion drams. Documents has appeared, where there are facts about process of distributing money during the 2017 elections. According to Simonyan in this case the law enforcement bodies could not fail to act.
At the same time he stressed that giving a political content to what happened is just an attempt to bargain, "which happened during Serzh Sargsyan's tenure."
"Let the criminal case continue, if he thinks it is right to fight politically, let him fight, that is his problem. Those criminal cases were initiated much earlier, while Tsarukyan was holding meetings and making announcements in the park", Simonyan said.
