During today's briefing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the criticism that citizens are often being blamed for the worsening the situation. Does the Prime Minister consider that the actions of the government were coordinated and not too late?
The Prime Minister emphasized - what is being presented thus he tries to help the citizens, himself and the government to better understand the situation and the complications, the reasons for further complication. Nikol Pashinyan also mentioned that they are discussing the issue of what shortcomings were in the government's actions. "We are working on a daily basis to eliminate the existing problems", said the Prime Minister.
He reiterated that this problem can be solved only through government-public cooperation. Stating that Government's actions are 100% transparent Pashinyan said. "We want to diagnose our situation correctly so that we can find the right solutions".
"I thank our citizens who follow the anti-epidemic rules and support the government in the fight against coronavirus", he said, adding that he is glad that many citizens and experts responded positively to his message. And the message is the following: now within the framework of the "Crisis as an Opportunity" concept, we must solve the problem in the following way - the discipline created by the efforts of many citizens in Armenia must be the expression of our free will", said the PM.
The rumors that the administrative fines will be canceled do not correspond to reality, such hopes are in vain, the fines must be paid, although our task is not to fine the citizens but to encourage them for the rules to be followed. Citizens must be responsible.
Pashinyan expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and said that the statistics show that the infection is spreading to the same or nearby addresses, which means that the infection is mainly spread in the yards and districts, and the police are providing enhanced services there.
Pashinyan stressed that funerals and hidden weddings continue to be a source of infection.
