It is difficult to say how many new cases, 600 or 800, would have been registered if there had not been a demand to tighten the mandatory wearing of masks. The Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan stated this at a briefing in the National Assembly today.
"It is very difficult to say thes actions are ineffective, as long as you do not evaluate them after a long time. As an example let me say: according to preliminary estimates we should have reached 15,000 cases on the 9th of the month, but we have reached the 12th of the month, which is good. But it is also a large number, and we must address that large number in terms of reduction", said the minister.
According to him along with the development of hospital capacity, we must pay close attention to the number of people in critical and extremely serious condition, as the mortality rate of those in severe and extremely severe condition is very high. "All actions must be aimed at curbing indicators because big numbers lead to a lot of deaths", Torosyan said.
