RA NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan sent a congratulatory message to the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The message particularly reads:
"Your Excellency,
On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and myself I warmly congratulate you on your election to the high and responsible post of the Speaker of the Islamic Republic of Iran and wish you success in carrying out your mission.
Armenia considers very important the centuries-old friendly ties and warm relations between our countries. Today the general agenda of our countries relations covers a wide range of contacts, from cultural and inter-religious ties to economic cooperation.
I am convinced that during your tenure the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Iran will continue its upward path and will give a new impetus to the existing cooperation between our two countries for the benefit of our states and the well-being of the friendly Armenian and Iranian peoples.
