Today RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon the ARF's criticism that the government's steps are ineffective, wrong or belated in the fight against pandemic. The ARF Party (Armenian Revolutionary Federation, also known as "Dashnak Party") also demanded to discuss the solutions to the crisis at the NA sitting and to call the failed officials to account.
Pashinyan reminded that three special sittings were held in the National Assembly in connection with the coronavirus, besides that many discussions are being held in the Government. "I want to state that in fact nothing has changed for Dashnaktsutyun because the ARF representatives spoke with the same rhetoric in the context of the government's resignation also in 2018, when only 1-2 months had passed since the formation of the new Government",Pashinyan countered.
According to the Prime Minister, there is an impression that not only the real but also the political coronavirus is spreading in Armenia. "And this in contrast to the real coronavirus, in my opinion, will lead to the political death of all such a bacillus-like political and public forces.
It is my conviction, and you will see that, these political forces will be completely pushed out of the political and social field of Armenia, because in fact they are building their political grave with their present activities”, Pashinyan stressed.
The Prime Minister added that today Armenia has several times better indicators in the fight against coronavirus than the most developed countries in the world. "Democracy is very useful in this age of coronavirus, because certain circles in Armenia are clearly showing their essence", he said.
