The RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan had a video call with Lawrence Meredith, Director for the EU's Eastern Neighbourhood Policy at the EU Commission. The Ambassador Andrea Victorin, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia and other representatives from the European Commission also took part in the video call.
Welcoming the partners the RA Deputy Prime Minister praised the EU's support to Armenia during this difficult period and thanked for the effective cooperation. Issues related to the implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement were discussed. The draft agreements of the 2020 Action Plan were also discussed, in particular, the anti-crisis budget support programs, aimed at combating the epidemic and supporting judicial reforms.
The EU representatives stressed that the programs will be summed up in the coming month.
Lawrence Meredith reaffirmed the EU's readiness to assist Armenia in the fight against COVID-19, as well as to provide ongoing assistance in the reform process.
