Today at the Ministry of Defense Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced the newly appointed Chief of the AF General Staff Onik Gasparyan to the senior officers of the Armed Forces.
The PM thanked the former Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan for his work. Pashinyan noted that huge changes have taken place in the armed forces during this period, and a very big agenda has been formed, which has yet to be implemented.
Congratulating the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan Nikol Pashinyan noted that he is not a new person in the Armed Forces, he has passed through all the steps of military service. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the coming changes will not only ensure, but also improve the agenda of the Armed Forces, the quality of problem solving, and the AF will become more efficient with each passing day.
"Honestly during this time, communicating more closely with our armed forces as the Prime Minister, I made a very pleasant and important record - The military as a class took their firm place in Armenia. Today it is a large family that plays the role of the backbone of our statehood. The existence of AF is the greatest guarantee of our sovereignty and our statehood.
Of course like any other country Armenia has internal and external challenges, but internal challenges will never be as huge as external ones. In this case of course our main force is the armed forces.
Not only the current government, but also any government is obliged to do everything for the Armed Forces, obliged to create conditions for solving the problems set before AF”, said Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the role of the Armed Forces.
