During the RA State Revenue Committee investigation within the framework of the criminal case regarding Mikael Minasyan new episodes have been revealed. This was reported by the RA State Revenue Committee.
It should be noted that former Armenian Ambassador to the Vatican Mikael Minasyan is the son-in-law of the former President Serzh Sargsyan. His name is associated with many corruption schemes.
"As it has been repeatedly mentioned in the press, based on the sufficient data obtained during the investigation carried out by the RA State Revenue Committee, criminal cases were initiated in 2020 on the facts of publicly dangerous acts committed by former RA Ambassador to the Vatican Mikael Minasyan.
The alleged criminal deeds related to Mikael Minasyan, the information about the financial means under his and his relatives' possession are unprecedented for the history of the law enforcement system of the Third Republic", the State Revenue Committee said in a statement. Based on that information a decision was made to involve Minasyan as an accused under numerous articles of the RA Criminal Code.
As part of the investigation of the criminal case measures are being taken to identify all the circumstances of the dangerous deeds committed by the accused and other possible accomplices, to restore the damage caused to the state, individuals and organizations. The State Revenue Committee reports this.
