In a briefing with journalists in the parliament the NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan touched upon the record index of coronavirus infection registered today.
Simonyan noted that there is a mass of the society, which still has a non-serious attitude towards the virus. "In the street I ask a woman to put on a mask, she says I'm not sick, nothing will happen to me. We have a problem with perception. I think that no matter what government, no matter what country, in this very special situation we are not able to discuss that consciousness with the people. We have to make them understand that without proper consciousness no one can do anything, even if to use troops”, said Simonyan.
As for the tightening of restrictions, Simonyan said that we cannot afford a strict quarantine. "For a long time the choice has been - to put people in a very difficult financial situation or to put them in an extreme situation in terms of illness. Now we cannot impose strict restrictions", the NA Deputy Speaker noted.
