On June 5, the South Caucasus Railway Company resumes the operation of Yerevan-Gyumri-Yerevan intercity express electric trains. The operation of trains have been canceled since March 27 this year due to a state of emergency in Armenia and a sharp reduction in passenger traffic.
The current decision of the company is conditioned by a certain restoration of the demand for intercity rail passenger transportation. However ensuring long-term work between the two major cities in the country will depend on the pace of recovery of demand for this service.
