Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a government briefing today that the situation with the coronavirus epidemic in the Republic continues to deteriorate. The Prime Minister noted that in in the number of infections per 1 million population, Armenia has exceeded the indicators of Iran and France and equaled Russia's indicator. "If we move at this pace, we will reach the index of Italy", Pashinyan said.
"The reason for this situation is that the anti-epidemic rules are not observed and our citizens do not take the epidemic seriously", he said, adding that today in Yerevan the police and the MES representatives urged everyone to wear a mask, maintain social distance, to disinfect and wash their hands, gave other instructions.
"Wear masks, it will save hundreds of lives. You can use not only factory-made, but also masks made by you”, again urged the Prime Minister.
"How much the situation will get worse depends on all of us. I hope that there will be changes in common public behavior and we will not have to go back to a strict quarantined system. It is a development that none of us wants", also stated the PM.
