Masis Mailyan has been reappointed Artsakh's Foreign Minister, newly elected Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan stated today.
"I called for cooperation, he accepted, we just thought about different formats of cooperation, taking into account the number of votes that Mailyan received in the presidential election. Please do not consider this a political bargain! We have agreed to take responsibility together", the President added.
Arayik Harutyunyan also stated that Samvel Babayan has been appointed Secretary of the Artsakh Security Council. Harutyunyan thanked Masis Mailyan and Samvel Babayan for agreeing. Arayik Harutyunyan justified his appointments in order to establish solidarity in the country.
In the Artsakh presidential election, Masis Mailyan was Arayik Harutyunyan's main political rival. Mailyan was supported by the political force sponsored by Samvel Babayan, the "United Homeland". Recently, the new President of Artsakh had signed a memorandum of cooperation with the leader of the "United Homeland" party Samvel Babayan.
