The heavy wind that lasted for about half an hour caused great damage in more than a dozen settlements of Shirak region. Shirak Governor Tigran Petrosyan informed about this yesterday.
"The roofs of the houses and apartment buildings have been damaged mostly, there are overturned trees, no human casualties", Petrosyan said. According to him, the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the representatives of the communities are currently carrying out cleaning, restoration of electrical lines and assessment of damages.
"The heads of the communities affected have been instructed to form commissions on the spot and submit the information on the assessed damages to the regional administration," the governor of Shirak said.
