RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and new President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan met with representatives of the banking systems of Armenia and Artsakh in Stepanakert.
Expressing gratitude to those present, Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the cooperation in this sphere should be intensified, as in the near future it is planned to ensure greater growth rates, and only the financial means of the two governments will not allow doing so.
Prime Minister Pashinyan said that the banking system in Artsakh has undergone significant development over the past 10 years, which has been essential for Artsakh's economic success. The RA Prime Minister considered important the fact that during this period the representatives of the government, the banking system and the parliament are sitting at the same table discussing issues related to the development of different branches of the economy and the solution of the existing problems.
Issues related to the expansion of cooperation between financial and banking systems, the promotion of the activities of Armenian banks in Artsakh, the activation of financing of business programs and the financing of investment projects were discussed during the meeting.
Representatives of the banking systems expressed readiness to respond to the initiatives of the Armenian and Artsakh governments and to provide lower interest rates for the market.
