The next court session on Serzh Sargsyan's case is scheduled for tomorrow in Yerevan. Sargsyan's lawyer Amram Makinyan said they had petitioned the court to postpone the hearing due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Serzh Sargsyan is accused of organizing the theft of about half a billion drams from the state budget. According to the RA Special Investigation Service in 2013 Sargsyan organized that at the instigation of Barsegh Beglaryan and with the support of Samvel Galstyan and Gevorg Harutyunyan, Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan to waste about half billion drams allocated by the state budget for purchasing of 15 million liters of fuel.
