Today RA President Armen Sargsyan had an online conversation with Nubar Afeyan, an american-armenian scientist, businessman and philanthropist.
Nubar Afeyan is the co-founder and CEO of "Moderna" company. The company is actively developing a vaccine against coronavirus. Preliminary positive results have already been obtained as a result of the first phase of clinical trials.
Nubar Afeyan informed President Sargsyan about it, saying that the first stage of the vaccine tests was successful. Sargsyan wished Afeyan success in his initiatives, expecting that "the combination of experience and knowledge will lead to positive results."
Armenian President and the armenian-american businessman also exchanged views on the situation in Armenia in connection with pandemic, discussed possible ways to overcome it.
