A meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was held today to discuss issues on state order for military needs. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Security Council, the Chief of staff of PM, heads of law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of High Technology.
"It's mentioned in the Government program, that it is one of our important political visions - the military-industrial complex in Armenia should be one of the leading sectors of our economy. That's why we have made some changes in the structure of the government, moving the military-industrial complex to the system of the Ministry of High technological Industry", Pashinyan said.
According to him, this is a matter of long-term and strategic discussion. "At this stage, it is important for us to be able to make right decisions during the formation of the state order for our military needs, in order to solve two problems. First of all, we should promote the development of the military industry, on the other hand, we should properly ensure the current security", the Prime Minister stated.
