The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement on the large-scale military exercises in Azerbaijan.
"According to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, this year a large-scale operative-tactical exercise will be held in Azerbaijan on May 18-22. It is noteworthy that the exercise will be exclusively offensive, during which mass missile, air, and high-precision weapons will be used.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia draws attention of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office and the international community to the fact that the large-scale military exercise in Azerbaijan, according to established tradition, takes place without prior notice. This is another manifestation of the neglect and gross violation of the Vienna Document”, the RA Defense Ministry stated.
"During the exercise, any attempt of the military to approach the state border of Armenia or the contact line with Artsakh will be considered as a provocation and will have corresponding consequences", also the statment reads.
