Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan a meeting of defense officials was held. The interdepartmental commission to increase the effectiveness of the fight against vicious manifestations in army also took part in it.
"Why was it necessary to create such a commission? I have said several times and now I want to emphasize that the Armed Forces have an indisputable reputation. But at the same time we have a strange phenomenon: the reputation of the service in the army does not correspond to the reputation of the Armed Forces. We have a task to equalize the reputation of the service with the reputation of the Armed Forces", Nikol Pashinyan noted.
He stressed that in 2019 rather good results was registered in the army in terms of prevention of vicious manifestations and management. "In 2019, in fact, the minimum number of casualties was recorded, whicհ is historic. But you know that at the beginning of this year we had a certain bad cases, and each case, of course, received a very large public response", Pashinyan continued.
He expressed hope that as a result of the work of this commission it will be possible to have an effective reform program and be sure that these reforms will bring the necessary results.
