Former RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan answered the questions of the parliamentary commission to investigate of the circumstances of the April war today.
"At today's closed session of the commission, I gave an explanation regarding my statement", Karapetyan told reporters after the session. To remind - in 2016 he stated that low-quality fuel was used in military vehicles during the April war.
Touching upon the internal political issues, he particularly mentioned. "I wish the government success, but I don't agree with the government on many issues".
Referring to the trial on the "March 1" case and the motion to release Robert Kocharyan from custody, he said. "I am very interested in providing relevant information to the public about March 1. I respect and appreciate R. Kocharyan's contribution to the independence and stability of Armenia and Artsakh. This trial has been going on for two years, and it may take a long time, so I have petitioned for Kocharyan's release”, former PM said.
Karapetyan stated that the "March 1" process is highly politicized. "I don't say make the culprit innocent. Continue the process, but release Kocharyan from custody", added the former prime minister.
He also stated that he would not be involved in politics.
