The Minister of High Technological Industry Hakob Arshakyan presented at the Government session the 17th program of neutralization of the economic consequenses of the coronavirus.
The Minister noted that the situation with the coronavirus had a negative impact on companies operating in the field of high-tech industry. "The ministry conducted a study of the current situation in the sector, conducted a survey of 185 companies, which found that 54% of the companies surveyed had negative results in terms of financial turnover, and 45% of companies with an average employment resource. We have free resources”, said the Minister.
Arshakyan added that taking into account the Government's policy that present situation can be used as new opportunities, 74% of the surveyed companies have expressed readiness to develop new products or re-specialize.
"In current situation, the ministry has developed grant packages for businesses in the sector, which aims to support the preservation of effective jobs for businesses in the sector due to the spread of coronavirus, and to promote and implement innovative ideas in the sector", Arshakyan said.
