Presenting the report on the implementation of the government's 2019 program, the Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan stated today that according to the corruption perceptions Index Armenia has improved its position by 28 points as a result of 2019, which is unique in the history of Armenia.
Minister spoke about work done for the fight against corruption, equality before the law, protection of justice and human rights, within the Anti-Corruption Strategy and Actions 2019-22. He referred to the work on the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Body, the already established Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, the planning of the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Committee and the formation of the Anti-Corruption Court.
Badasyan also referred to the detection of corruption crimes and the law "On the confiscation of property of illegal origin" adopted by the National Assembly.
