Wizz Air airline will start operating flights to Armenia twice a week in 2020. The people in charge of the field announced in today’s press conference that Vienna-Yerevan and Vilnius-Yerevan flights will begin operating in April.
Andras Rado, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air said that the tickets will cost 25 euro and will be sold only online. “Online purchase of tickets is possible via the company’s app. If you don’t need baggage, you will not pay for it. The same goes for food,” Rado said.
Wizz Air flies Airbus A320 and A321.
“We don’t offer transit flights. The tickets are sold online and people will not have to go to tour agencies and buy tickets from there,” said Rado.
According to him, the passenger will pay only for the services that they want to receive.
Talking about the company’s future, Rado said that they intended to acquire 300 planes in several years, becoming the biggest buyer of Airbus in history.
“When we have 300 planes, we will be able to transfer 100mln passengers, we will have 10.000 employees, 2000 new employees every years. We expect 1bln euro annual income,” said Rado.
