Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Suren Papikyan has announced that Armenia is not discussing the issue of building a new nuclear station in the future. According to the Minister, Russia, South Korea and the US have projects of nuclear stations with lower capacity, but they have not been put into practice yet.
“I do not exclude that Armenia may consider it at one point, but currently, the energy block can continue its activity until 2026, and it is possible to use it until 2036,” said the Minister.
