Former Police Chief of Yerevan Ashot Karapetyan died in Russian city Pyatigorsk as a result of an explosion that took place in a private beer factory. According to Interfax, the factory belong to the former police chief.
The press service of Stavropol Region investigative Committee confirmed Karapetyan’s death.
“After leaving his job, Karapetyan arrived in Russia and founded his business. Today, he died in an incident. The second victim is his uncle,” writes Interfax.
The explosion took place on November 28 at 6:40 as a result of violation of the technological process. The explosion caused a fire, partially burning the private building.
A criminal case has been initiated. Pyatigorsk authorities informed that the factory had no gas connection permit.
