Armenia surpassed all post-Soviet states in the British analytical institute’s Legatum Prosperity Index 2019 except from the Baltic countries and Georgia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Facebook.
“Armenia is ranked 61st, improving its position by 27 points compared to 2018.
Among the regional countries Georgia is 53rd, Russia – 74th, Turkey – 91st, Azerbaijan – 92nd and Iran – 119th," wrote the PM.
The authors of the Index compare the countries based on 9 criteria: level of economic development, business climate, public administration efficiency, level of education, healthcare, security and personal freedom, as well as social capital and environment development.
