The proposal package regarding the greatest challenge of the age, disinformation, has been handed to the EU by international specialists, journalists and representatives of civil society.
The purpose of the conference, which took place in Tbilisi on November 18-22, was to find efficient ways to fight against disinformation during the joint discussions of strategic communication experts, journalists and EU officials, exchanging experience of the EU Eastern Partnership countries, Western Balkans, Near East and North Africa.
The political issues of Georgia are key to the region. The EU Ambassador to Georgia, representatives of the Georgian government and Georgian deputies held discussions, stressing the risks of disinformation, possible political influences and the necessity of top-quality media in the Eastern Partnership countries. Georgia was the first to host a conference in this format.
