The monument of renowned Armenian musician, teacher and choirmaster Komitas has been unveiled at the yard of the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople. Patriarchate locum tenens Bishop Sahak Mashalian, sculptor Erol Saragyan and representatives of the Armenian community and church attended the ceremony.
The unveiling ceremony was accompanied by the performance of opera singer Artur Baghdasaryan, dances and plays of the Central Armenian Gymnasium of Istanbul. Sculptor Erol Safaryan talked about the role and work of Komitas.
