“Currently, the agenda of the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia does not include the issue of FFA President Artur Vanetsyan’s resignation,” said “My Step” deputy and FFA Executive Committee member Aren Mkrtch, touching on the disastrous defeat of the Armenian National Team from Italy with the non-football score of 9-1.
“Everyone is at fault, but the number one person responsible is the President of the Federation. The score has to be explained. For now, our agenda does not include the resignation of the FFA President, when it does, we will let you now,” said Mkrtchyan.
Touching on the Committee’s unanimous vote on the head coach, Mkrtchyan said the Committee was going to vote in favor regardless of the candidate. If it didn’t, the team would not be able to participate in the matches and would be assigned technical defeats with the score 3-0.
The deputy mentioned that the Committee had clarified its stance concerning the situation at the Federation in a closed session.
