The Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic of Armenia met today in the Office of Government, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Before proceeding to the agenda, Prime Minister Pashinyan touched on the ongoing structural transformations in the military-industrial complex, stating: “You know that there have been significant changes in the military-industrial complex: the jurisdiction of the Military-Industrial Committee has changed: it has been transferred from the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry.
Taking the opportunity, I wish to thank the Ministry of Defense for the work done during this time and for valuable contribution.
I wish every success to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and to the Head of the Military-Industrial Committee. I hope that these structural changes will help us make significant improvements in this strategically important area, based on the results already achieved and the work done to date, since the development of this area is of paramount importance. I believe there is no need to explain its importance.”
Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan reported back the work done by his agency. Issues related to the development of the military-industrial complex and the formation of practical ties between science, technology and the military industry were discussed. The meeting approved the list of state orders for special research and development work for 2020.
