Prime Minister shared some stats on Facebook.
“The number of children born in Armenia during the second and third trimesters of the year in Armenia exceeds the number registered in the same period past year.
18.258 children were born last year, while this year the number of children born during the second and third trimesters of this year is 18.493, 235 more than last year.
Of course, the number isn’t big, but we have to take into account that at least during the past five years, the number was drastically falling.
So, we can state that after the revolution, Armenian families have greater expectations from the future, and some time was necessary for those expectations to be evident in the form of increased number of births.
We have to add that after the revolution, the number of marriages goes up, while the number of divorces goes down,” wrote the PM.
