The Parliament of Armenia did not adopt at the first reading the bill authored my “My Step” member Anna Karapetyan, which proposes to give the President of the National Assembly the authority to participate in the meetings of the Security Council.
The bill “On Amending Constitutional Law of National Assembly Regulation” and “On Amending and Modifying the Law on Formation and Activity of Security Council” was not approved at the first reading with 66 votes in favor, 14 against and 20 abstaining. Eighty votes were necessary to pass the bill.
