The Court has denied Robert Kocharyan’s request to be released from pre-trial detention on bail. Kocharyan is charged with “overthrowing constitutional order”.
Kocharyan’s lawyers filed a motion during the previous hearing to replace Kocharyan’s detainment with bail, leaving the amount required at the court’s discretion.
The motion was based on the decision ՍԴՈ-1480 of the Constitutional Court of October 15, by which the Court established that bail can be applied not only against the risk of hiding but also hindering. The defense considered it a new circumstance of the case.
