The first opposition meeting took place in Baku, where it was announced that the situation in Azerbaijan is critical and the position of the regime has weakened despite continuing repressions and violence. Leader of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party and coordinating member of the National Council Ali Karimli presented three demands, which he believes can unite the Azerbaijani opposition. The demands are: demonstration freedom and political freedom, reclaiming of Karabakh and freedom to political prisoners. On Facebook, Karimli urged people to unite and recruit at least 100.000 of the millions of discontent people to participate in the peaceful reforms in the country.
