On November 4, at around 19:30, 19-year-old conscripted serviceman Erik Harutyunyan was found with a gunshot wound near the chin in the weapons depot of a military base.
Harutyunyan died while being transported to a hospital, reports the Investigations Committee of Armenia.
The Military Investigations Department has launched a criminal investigation pursuant to Part 1, Article 110 of the Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
All necessary investigative and procedural actions are being taken to ensure a multi-faceted, complete and objective investigation of the case.
