At the briefing in the National Assembly, RA Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan touched on PM Pashinyan’s position that the settlement of the Artsakh issue should be acceptable for the people of Armenia, Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
“I completely agree with the Prime Minister, as if there is an option that the Azerbaijani people do not agree with, it will become a chance to restart the war,” said Tonoyan.
To the question if that option exists, the Minister answered that he believed “it is the impossibility of restarting the war.”
The Defense Minister does not agree with the term “elevator talks” in circulation. He believes that the Armenian side, in particular the Foreign Minister, holds professional talks.
He mentioned that Armenia and Azerbaijan maintain operative connection.
