The Ministry of Emergency Situations has not had a salary raise before and the latest one has a positive effect, according to the MES Minister Felix Tsolakyan.
“Firefighter’s job is dangerous. We have lost a firefighter lately and it can happen any day to any firefighter,” said the Minister.
According to him, after the salary raise, the number of people applying to work at MES has grown. The Minister claimed that during the reception, fifteen of twenty people apply for work, and sometimes they receive a job.
Tsolakyan answered negatively to the question if next year’s budget provides salary raise.
