The Arabkir Investigation Department of RA Investigative Committee has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of an underage child’s infection with HIV.
On October 16, a citizen referred to the Arabkir Police Department, reporting that their underage granddaughter has been under outpatient care from mid-August until October 11 at the Arabkir Medical Center and she was diagnosed with HIV at the hospital. The family of the child claims she did not have the disease before being admitted to the hospital.
According to preliminary data, the child has had fever for months and was transferred to Arabkir Medical Center on August 20, where she was diagnosed with AIDS.
The undertaken measures revealed that the child’s parents were tested negative for AIDS.
The Arabkir Department of the RA Police has initiated a criminal case pursuant to Point 2, Part 3, Art. 123 of the RA Criminal Code.
Several forensic exams have been scheduled to find out the important circumstances of the case.
