The Public TV and Radio Council intends to establish an online TV channel and has submitted a bid of 102mln AMD, as reported Council Chair Ara Shirinyan at the preliminary discussion of the draft of the 2020 state budget at the Parliament. The Council is waiting for confirmation.
Incidentally, 7bln 396mln 131 thousand AMD is scheduled to be spent on the production and transmission of informational, political, economic, youth and other programs of informational nature, important for the public.
The other point of the budget expense is 146mln 864 thousand AMD for the management, coordination and monitoring of the Public TV and Radio Company, which is 3.5mln AMD less than last year.
The budget provides 5bln 953mln 300 thousand AMD, 25mln AMD less than last year, for the production and transmission of TV programs. 942mln 364 thousand AMD is provided for the production and transmission of radio programs.
The Council intends to allocate 100mln AMD for the technical re-equipment of the Public TV Company.
