After the House of Representatives voted in favor of recognizing the Armenian Genocide, National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“The pass of this resolution is a historic step and a tribute to the memory of one and a half million of martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. It is a clear message to the civilized world that such crimes cannot be tolerated.
The United States of Americam reconfirming its loyalty and leading position in the protection of human rights and global values, has made an important contribution in the prevention of new crimes, new genocides against humankind.
I extend my gratitude to the House of Representatives for their demonstration of friendship towards the Armenian people and their efforts in the fight against denialism.”
