Former Governor of Vayots Dzor resigned after an incident in Yeghegnadzor. Armed Forces officer Ara Mkhitaryan was gravely injured in a skirmish. Vayots Dzor resident Zaven Grigoryan was arrested in connection with the case. The name of the former Governor was tied to the incident, and several days after it, Sargsyan announced his resignation.
