Today Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made the following post on Facebook:
“Dear compatriots, you all remember that during my visit to the Yerevan vehicle customs office on April 9 of this year, I ordered to dismiss one customs officer (later his name was revealed to be Hayk Martirosyan) for inappropriate treatment of the national flag of the Republic of Armenia.
Today I have instructed SRC Chair Davit Ananyan to reinstate Martirosyan in the SRC system. I believe this period was enough for all of us to draw proper conclusions from the situation.
P.S. Since April, I have repeatedly been convinced that there is a need to set standards for treatment of the national flag of the Republic of Armenia: starting from technical standards (national flag at official ceremonies, national flag at workplace, national flag in open air, etc.) and continuing with its placement ceremony and its treatment.
In the near future I am going to give concrete assignments on this subject."
It has been reported that Hayk Martirosyan has accepted the offer to restart his job in the SRC system.
