Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the launch of Xilinx Armenia High-Tech Company in Yerevan. The company is engaged in the development of innovative and engineering solutions in high technologies, digital television, industry and other spheres.
There are currently 20 people employed at the Yerevan branch of Xilinx. The number of jobs will be increased to 50 by this yearend, and to 200 - within 3 years. Xilinx Armenia has partnered with Armenian universities to develop joint research programs.
After the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister toured the premises to get acquainted with the working conditions and the ongoing activities.
Xilinx has nearly 5,000 employees worldwide and a broad client network in more than 60 countries. Xilinx has already earned USD 3.06 billion in 2019.
