The Food Safety Inspection Service has started supervision in all the schools of Artashat. The inspectors sent from the regional center of Ararat and Yerevan will verify the sanitary conditions of schools canteens and the quality of sold food.
The process will continue until the end of the year in the schools of all the provinces and of Yerevan.
On October 15, the Disease Control and Prevention Center of the Health Ministry reported that 23 students of Artashat school N 5 were hospitalized with symptoms of food poisoning. The inspectors discovered that the children felt the symptoms after eating sausage pizza supplied by Anahit Vardanyan Sole Proprietor. The pizza was sampled and sent to laboratory. The results will be announced by the end of the week.
