Georgia and Azerbaijan have a border conflict.
Georgia and Azerbaijan again dispute the David Gareja monastery complex. For years, Azerbaijani border guards have not allowed Georgian priests and pilgrims to enter the church. The Azerbaijani side claims that the Church Udabno is in their territory, while the Georgians are convinced that it is on theirs. The issue became a reason of protests in Tbilisi.
