Several Turkish flags were hung on Armenian schools in California. U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff and other members of the House of Representatives discussed the act of vandalism on Facebook.
“These schools are attended by many descendants of survivors of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire, and I stand with the Armenian community in condemning this act of hate,” wrote Schiff. Another influential congressman, Brad Sherman, also touched on the incident. He urged the FBI to investigate it.
