In summer 2018, stenting prices went down after the negotiations of the Health Ministry with stent supplying companies. According to Arsen Torosyan, stenting prices in Armenia may decrease further. Medical centers acquire stents for a lower price but the price of the service differs from hospital to hospital. The Ministry does not have a mechanism of control over stenting prices: the price should be formed through fair competition in the market.
