Mothers lost their children in both countries.
The Prime Minister’s wife Anna Hakobyan touched upon the Karabakh conflict in her speech at the Tretyakov Gallery, offering the attendees to join her campaign “Women for Peace”. Talking about the April War, Anna Hakobyan said: “It is not important what the countries gained. What is important is that young people were lost and mothers lost their children in both countries. As the wife of the Head of State, I cannot stay silent. No policy and political interest can justify the cruel death of young boys, the grief of parents and orphaned children. I understand that there are interests and issues but as a mother and woman, I want to urge the sides to serve those interests bypassing guns and cannons”.
