PM election took place for the second time in the extraordinary session of the Parliament.
On May 8, Nikol Pashinyan won the parliamentary vote with 59 votes and was elected as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The PM election took place for the second time in the extraordinary session of the Parliament. The only candidate was the leader of Yelk Alliance Nikol Pashinyan. He was nominated by more than 1/3 of the members of parliament – 41 signatures. Yelk, Tsarukyan and ARF parties had earlier announced their support of the nomination and candidacy of Pashinyan. To be elected he had to receive at least 53 votes of 105 MPs. The first stage of the PM election took place a week ago.
