Goods import grew by 25 percent, service provision – by 14.4.
The Minister of Economic Development and Investments informed PM Karapetyan that this year diamond business is going to gain momentum. According to the Minister, there is an agreement with Alrosa for the supply of more raw material. Over 30 percent growth is forecast for the sector. The second phase of Meghri Free Economic Zone has started, while the import from Alliance and Meridian free economic zones has grown by 70 percent. The PM was informed also of the main indexes of 2017: goods import grew by 25 percent, service provision – by 14.4.
Last year the number of tourists visiting Armenia also grew, reaching 105 million. 40 reform projects are ready to boost tourism.
